Well here we are into March almost with an American presidential race going on and we are bombarded with bickering and slander within our parties. Just as one of our candidates, seeks to bring hope and peace to the people, we as individuals must choose to do the same for ourselves. How can we do this? We start practicing “recognizing” what it is that gives us this inner peace. What makes us smile. Perhaps its a place, a forbidden island tucked away somewhere beautiful, or perhaps it’s a connection with another person, or maybe it’s a dream job, or even a state of mind. Whatever it is, and if it’s without any negative conatation, then you need to congratulate yourself for holding the vision. The vision is so important. When you have that vision and it makes you smile consider it yours! Its your to acept, own, trust, and to do with what you will.
For many of us, the vision leaves, it disapears, or it doesnt stay long. Why? Most probably this is because some demon has entered our mind, storming through at the first sight of happiness, and said, ” not happening, im not good enough, i must be crazy, not possible, cant, too hard, out of my league, and so on and so on. I have to smile here; i remember meeting my demons on many ocassions, they sometimes knock to get in even now. At least they have manners. They have manners because i let ithem know that its behaviour would not be tolerated. I also let them know that they could only enter if they had ideas, forward thoughts, and positive reinforers for me, otherwise, goodbye. The thoughts that our demons bring us are all negative; i decided one day not to recieve them.
What would happen if you ignored your demon? What would happen if you baricaded the door in your mind and said NO, go away? Do you think you’d win? If you are saying NO to this question, then that nasy pest is in your mind as we speak. Now what would happen if you replaced that demon and it’s thoughts, with your vision and your thoughts? Why is one more powerful than the other? Which set of thoughts is more powerful? Imagine you are playing a video game, you really have the enthusism to beat that demon dont you. Where is the same enthusism when fighting off negative thoughts. Like the video game, everything takes practice. Remember you hold all the power, practice using yours!
